I spent long hours searching for the perfect laptop. I went to the shop, searched online and compared prices for value for money. Finally landed on this one. Main reason being the stand-alone graphics card, as I wanted to play games, especially The Sims 3 (big fan). And I must say it is running as smoothly on this as it does on a powerful desktop. The second thing I was looking for was a good fast processor, i3 or up. And when I found that this one has i5, I was pretty much sold. The 3rd thing, I was looking at was RAM, and this one has 4gb which is not bad, you can alwasy upgrade to 8gb and it is not that expensive, compared to the price you would pay for a laptop that already has 8gb RAM. 4th thing (and the thing that i really, really liked) was the design - all black, which was something other Acers were not; SO slim and still managed to have a CD/DVD drive. It really looks just a bit thicker than an ultrabook, and they are jus tooooo expensive (and no cd/dvd drive!!! which was important to me). The laptop just looks AMAZING, slim, sleek and the cover is matte black, so no fingerprints on the cover. The screen is very slim too. I have the laptop on constantly and I have to say that it stays quite cool (well just slightly warm, instead of burning hot). And another great feature is that the keboard lights up (can be turned off if you wish). There is kind of a light under the keyboard, so when in dark you can still see where the letters/keys are (very useful in a dark room, at night in bed). I havent tested the batterie yet, as I have used it only at home so far, always plugged in. Windows 8 is actually not that bad (other reviews might scare you). If you know windows 7/Vista, it is actually pretty much the same, except the START page. But think of it tis way: the START page is really the old start menu, just alive :) It took me maybe a day to get used to it :)
In conclusion: If you are looking for something powerful, beautiful and proffessional then this is for you. The price is reasonable and you get so much more. I am very happy with it and would deffinitely recomend!
