For £450 you won't find anything new or better. Fast processor, plenty of RAM and plenty of storage with USB ports so you can hook up external drives as well as an external optical disc drive if you still use discs.
My girlfriend just paid £850 for a MacBook, that's nearly double the price of this and it comes with a slower processor, less RAM and less memory. The price of fashion right there.
The unit is very thin and looks vulnerable but it's actually quite robust. The keyboard is flat and the keys are spaced out so that takes a little getting used to. The extra number pad on the right is very handy and the touchpad is nice and big and responsive. Keys are good and responsive too. The area where your hands wrests is rough, not shiny and plasticy like others so there's no worry about fingerprints and tiny scratches looking like glaring muck.
The unit loads up very quickly and performs tasks with ease. Plays and streams high def videos easily. I've been playing Football Manager 13 with 9 active leagues, a medium database and using the matchday experience and the unit is ploughing through the game with ease. I'd think you could play with as many as 15 playable leagues and a large database and get good speed out of it.
As with any new laptop you're gonna have to deal with countless updates over the first week. Windows 8 is a pain in the backside but once you actually learn how to use it, it's not actually that bad at all.
Very happy with this, it just took a little patience to learn Windows 8.

I upgraded to this white Samsung NP370R5E from a similar looking Pearl White Toshiba Satellite C855, as that had errors with the sound, this is Samsung far superior, and is worth the extra money!
It is beautiful in design, but more importantly very light (no disk drive), the screen is great with a wider tilt and less reflection than my last laptop.
This is fast and efficient, it looks and feels a nice quality (as far as plastic ever can!), the keyboard and mousepad are nice to use and the machine is responsive.
Speakers are much louder and crisper, and by far better, than my previous laptop- the sound quality much better and not as "tingy" as cheaper models.... I am once again enjoying playing music on a laptop rather than hating it!
Only an extra £24 for a external dvd drive.... well worth it for the decrease in weight and bulk!
Windows 8 takes a slight amount of re-learning when upgrading from win7, and I was very apprehensive(worried) after hearing bad reviews of it..... in reality I am fast getting to grips with it, and find it no problem, especially upon learning the hot-keys.
Well done Samsung, a nice looking, lightweight, responsive, affordable laptop, and now I can finally utilise the Allshare play function with my other samsung devices too.

I am really satisfied with my new computer.
The screen is big enough with lovely white color.
The software and everything is fine to me. The size is big but very slim !
